A slight change in flight direction occurs between 1b and 1c. New Zealand Pass, still ice covered is on 1c. The position of Dozy's 1936 Meren Glacier cairn is marked on 1c. The Meren and Carstensz Glaciers are on 1e. The photographs were taken between 1942 and 1945; probably during the latter part of 1942. Unfortunately prints supplied here have been cropped.
