In this video, Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi and another officiate the Wedding of Anna and Seth. The Wedding takes place at Temple Beth Sholom in Cherry Hill, NJ on November 10, 1991. The video opens with Zalman singing to the bride and then the women singing and dancing to two Jewish songs. Then the video moves to the men doing a Tish (Jubilant Jewish Learning). After the learning, the video jumps to Zalman performing the Bedeken (veiling of the bride) and the family of both the bride and groom give their blessings. Then both officiants do a short teaching under the Chupah after which the processional begins. The groom is dressed in a Kittel (traditional Jewish all-white garb) which is common practice at Jewish weddings. The ceremony under the Chupah begins and contains a Kiddush (blessing over the wine), the ring exchange, Zalman reading the Ketubah (Jewish marriage contract), the Sheva Brachot (seven blessings said at every Jewish wedding), and finally the glass breaking followed by the recessional. The last third of the video is of the reception which has traditional Jewish dancing, Klezmer music, Israeli dancing, and speeches.
